SUMMARY:PowerBoat Instructor Course
DESCRIPTION:If you’re a competent\, experienced powerboater and you’re interested in sharing your expertise and enthusiasm with others\, this could be the course for you! This RYA approved course will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to teach RYA Powerboat Levels 1 and 2 at any recognised RYA training centres. \n\n\n\nThis practical and theory-based course will allow you to develop an understanding of the principles of practical instruction\, lesson planning\, teaching styles\, the preparation of boats and equipment\, the structure of RYA Powerboat Levels 1 and 2\, assessing students’ learning\, and the presentation of theory subjects. The syllabus is taught with a ratio of (6:1) students to instructor. \n\n\n\nProviding that you maintain a valid first aid certificate\, this course will be valid for five years from the date of issue. \n\n\n\nTo join this course\, you’ll need: \n\n\n\n\nto be at least 16 years old\n\n\n\na valid first aid certificate\n\n\n\nan RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate\n\n\n\nFive seasons experience of powerboating logged (preferably in range of boat types and sizes) OR one season for those who use powerboats as an integral part of their normal full-time occupation.\n\n\n\n\nFor further details please email training@staging.clyc.info \n\n\n\nThere is a strict limit of six places for this course.
